I was right…this is the quietest week ever. The TVFF.com interns are already packing up their stuff and heading back to school for the fall semester. Honestly, they’ve been mailing it in since the second week of August.- The New York Times pays a visit to Lidia Bastianich’s restaurant, Felidia, and gives it an impressive three stars.
- The Birmingham News has an article about the continued interest in food magazines, with mentions of the latest publishing efforts of Paula Deen and Rachael Ray.
- “Gordon Ramsay’s grip on the popular imagination is in danger of ‘stifling’ the London restaurant scene, claims eating out guide Harden’s.”
- Tupperware is putting out a cookbook featuring recipes from chefs Rocco DiSpirito and Sara Moulton and other celebrities like Chevy Chase and Cynthia Nixon. I’m guessing each recipe will be double portioned…just to make sure there are leftovers.
- Two new episodes of Dave Lieberman’s Dave Does are up: Coffee and Aphrodisiacs. Wait a second…shouldn’t the coffee episode be paired with last week’s doughnuts episode? Mmmmm….doughnuts.
